They show a "Expected Delivery Date" for the Tracking number, but never show any progress of the package's location" and don't deliver it on that delivery day!!

Note: I posted this experience and it says I'm in Leawood, KS, USA. This is incorrect. This concerns a shipment from Holland to the U.S.
Their customer service is one of the most disorganised I've ever experienced. The individuals I spoke with on the phone were friendly enough and tried to be helpful, but it's clear the overall management and leadership at UPS is absolutely horrible. It took me 2 hours (!!!) of phone calls to get the help I needed. I would call their general customer service, they would ask me for my tracking number, etc, and after all that would transfer me to another department. Then I'd have to explain the same situation yet again (that the package I've sent using UPS Express has gone missing and there are no tracking updates whatsoever). Then that department would tell me I need to "file a claim" online and asks me for my email address so she can send me a link (don't you have my email already if I just gave you my tracking number?). Instead of helping to fill out a claim for me through the phone I now needed to do this myself through the email link which is fine.
I click the link and (because clearly UPS doesn't check to see if their website pages are working correctly or updated) I'm not able to select the option "Sender". The only option available to click is "Receiver", even though I am the sender of the package. Also, my problem isn't listed under the "Select reason for claim" list. All kinds of issues are listed there, but not the simple option of "Missing package". So I'm not able to file the claim correctly. Then I had to call them back yet again and explain that the the claims page wasn't working correctly (because of said issues). They then ask me to call the technical department, and instead of just transferring me, give me the number instead. I write down the number and call the tech department. Long story short, they weren't able to help me and I had to call regular customer service back again and explain the whole damn situation yet again, as well as giving him my tracking number yet again. Thankfully, this guy was friendly and helped me out. He helped file a claim for a missing package through the phone, and said I should be contacted within 24 hours through phone or email.
I thanked him for his patience, and immediately after the phone-call I'm asking myself "Why am I thanking him for HIS patience, when I have just been on the phone for literally 2 hours, trying to get the help I need for my missing UPS Express package." Shaking my head haha.
So now I'll have to see if they indeed contact me within 24 hours to help me figure out where the package is. Again, I chose the UPS Express option (which is close to $40) because I wanted my package, a large envelope with a long letter and a birthday card, to reach a friend in the U.S. on time for his birthday. 6 days later there's been no update on tracking and I don't even know if it's left my country (Netherlands).
Long story short: One of the most disorganised customer service experiences I've had, and also one of the most exhausting. If they were well organised this issue could have been solved in 10 minutes. Again, I spent literally 2 hours on the phone trying to get the help I needed. It's quite outrageous. Unless I truly had no other choice, I will never ship anything with UPS again. Last time for me.

The only option available to click is "Receiver", even though I am the sender of the package. Also, my problem isn't listed under the "Select reason for claim" list. All kinds of issues are listed there, but not the simple option of "Missing package". So I'm not able to file the claim correctly. Then I had to call them back yet again and explain that the the claims page wasn't working correctly (because of said issues). They then ask me to call the technical department, and instead of just transferring me, give me the number instead. I write down the number and call the tech department. Long story short, they weren't able to help me and I had to call regular customer service back again and explain the whole damn situation yet again, as well as giving him my tracking number yet again. Thankfully, this guy was friendly and helped me out. He helped file a claim for a missing package through the phone, and said I should be contacted within 24 hours through phone or email.
I thanked him for his patience, and immediately after the phone-call I'm asking myself "Why am I thanking him for HIS patience, when I have just been on the phone for literally 2 hours, trying to get the help I need for my missing UPS Express package." Shaking my head haha.
So now I'll have to see if they indeed contact me within 24 hours to help me figure out where the package is. Again, I chose the UPS Express option (which is close to $40) because I wanted my package, a large envelope with a long letter and a birthday card, to reach a friend in the U.S. on time for his birthday. 6 days later there's been no update on tracking and I don't even know if it's left my country (Netherlands).
Long story short: One of the most disorganised customer service experiences I've had, and also one of the most exhausting. If they were well organised this issue could have been solved in 10 minutes. Again, I spent literally 2 hours on the phone trying to get the help I needed. It's quite outrageous. Unless I truly had no other choice, I will never ship anything with UPS again. Last time for me.

Who the hell asked for a vacation hold is a mystery since it wasn't me. 4 times I called and finally was told that somebody from the local facility would call me that day... and of course there was no callback. The next day I called and according to their notes the facility tried to call me but nobody answered. I had the phone with me all day and there was no "unknown" call. So I finally gave up and said I'd wait for the delivery on Mar 1st. Yep, no package. So I called on the morning of Mar 2nd and was told that it would be delivered that day. When I asked if I could pick it up instead I was told it would cost me $9.99!! WTF? They changed the delivery date without my permission, lied about trying to contact me, lied about it being delivered on the 1st and then want to charge me? AND of course bio delivery on the 2nd and the UPS driver said he had multiple clients like me who were being lied to about their packages. So I called again and was told it had been changed to Mar 3rd and again no package today. FINALLY I got a customer service supervisor on the phone who called the local facility (Bellingham WA) herself and told them that I was going to pick the package up and I was NOT to be charged for that "privilege". Not blaming the poor customer service people as they can only tell me what shows ups on their screens. It's the basic operations assholes and the overpaid managers and VP's who don't give a shit about the customers.

After paying their outrageous brokerage fees (why so high?) I receive a letter in the mail a few weeks later. Somehow the amount owed on the invoice has changed and they want another $7.30 from me! I can't tell where this change came from.
There is no email or any other record of this change, just a random paper letter in the mail. I didn't think anyone seriously used normal mail anymore.
Okay fine, whatever, but I can't even log in to pay the extra bill because they have a 6 digit limit on the info field for account number and mine is 10 digits long...
Now I'm worried if I don't pay it I'll be subjected to their "late payment fee", which is 5% of outstanding charges. Not like 5% of $7.30 is a lot of money, but I'd loathe to give them more of my hard earned paycheck.
I'd be annoyed if they just charged you more than what's needed, but on top of that they can't be bothered to make it simple or easy to pay and understand their invoices.
Ridiculous and frustrating. I hope their company goes bankrupt.
I will make a point of telling everyone I know not to use UPS in the future.

Well, for one thing, my husband had a very expensive hand made Native American Style flute that was probably stolen by a UPS worker - he was not scanning the shipments in and coincidentally our package never arrived to receiver and it's been months now - it's gone. We cannot put a claim on it because I (the wife) accidentally dropped it off at USPS thinking it was a USPS package and instead of just holding the package for me to return to get it, they gave it to UPS who picks up there nightly. The UPS driver does not scan things in there. The USPS employee that knows this still handed off the package to him (it really sucks that he did this!). Me, being naïve, did not ask USPS for a receipt, because we purchased the label online with UPS and with me thinking it was a USPS package and knowing we had been doing business with this USPS office for 15+ years, I trusted them. Learned my lesson.
A second reason that UPS sucks is that I just sold a handpainted Ukulele bag that was shipped using UPS on 4/14. Well, I printed the label and took package to UPS store on 2/14. Here it is now 2/21 and no tracking info available. It only reads "label printed." This makes me, in the customer's eyes, look like I have not taken the package to UPS yet. And I'm seeing and hearing this happening all the time now! Cannot blame COVID anymore!

The UPS employee took my packages ad said I needed to use UPS plastic sacks otherwise he was not going to ship them. What???!!! So I ended up buying two flimsy plastic bags to put my already packaged items in. I paid $4.50 for those flimsy UPS plastic bags. When I got home, I looked at UPS website and read that customers can wrap the items themselves and no need to buy special plastic sacks from UPS. Corrupt!

Disorganised, couldn't organise a piss up at a brewery. I missed first delivery as I was out, they had left a customs invoice which I paid over the phone. Didn't hear anything for a while until sender said the parcel was being returned to them. Strange as I had not had any missed delivery cards left. I asked for tracking number and checked it. It said I missed delivery 3 times, I was out the first time, but not the dates of the second or third. Checked CCTV and found they had not been anywhere near the property on the days of the second or third attempt.
I phoned customer customer disservice and they told me I had to pay the customs fee, I had to provide payment reference number to prove I had actually already paid the fee. The call handler then told me I had missed the second and final delivery attempts. When I told them they had not visited the second or third time and had CCTV to prove this they deleted those entries from the tracking information! Fortunately I have screenshot.
Tried to get the parcel redelivered, but apparently they couldn't change delivery as I'm not signed up to their my choice service. Fine I'll sign up. Turns out this his takes up to 2 weeks as they have to send a letter in the post. FFS. Received the letter in the post today with instructions on how to complete registration - Hooray! Went to website, entered details, 'an unknown error occurred'.
I hate UPS, I hate the shocking level of disorganisation and stupid systems they have in place I wish misery and despair on everyone who works for UPS.

I know the weather has been bad, but it makes no sense why one arrived early and the other one is in limbo God knows where. Next year I'm using FedEx. NEVER pay UPS extra for 'before Christmas' delivery. They guarantee nothing and don't give refunds. Thanks for ruining Christmas, UPS.

I work for a company that unfortunately uses UPS as a shipper. The amount of calls I've dealt with the past 5 days alone dealing with lost UPS packages is truly incredible... How do you lose a fridge? How do you lose SIX of them?? And they just kind of shrug when I ask them for updates for my customers. Ugh. I will never ship with them!!!

Insane delivery dates. I was given 3 different dates at the same time, 1 date was from Apple (Dec 13), the other 2 dates were a day apart from UPS. The tracking said "Expected Delivery Dec 8", pressing the details button said "Delivery Date of Dec 9". Dec 8 was not acceptable, so I paid $2.10 extra to move the date to Monday Dec 12 (the next advance date available on their list). I wanted to select a store pickup but it said the shipper (Apple) wouldn't allow it. I also wanted to select Dec 9 but I was not given that option either.
Around 6pm on Dec 8 the tracking changed to "Expected Delivery Dec 9". That date was what I wanted all along, so I went in and cancelled my request for Dec 12 delivery. This cancellation request then showed up on the tracking list. Great, I assumed my cancellation request would be honored. 12 hrs later I got a text from Apple saying my parcel is expected today (Dec 9). UPS tracking said parcel out for delivery. Again, great.
15 mins after that it said Reschedule Delivery Requested, Parcel is Being Held. Uh, no, I cancelled that 12 hrs prior. Now I have to wait all weekend when I could have had the parcel today. What a clusterfork. Why was I given 3 different delivery dates, how am I supposed to plan for that? Why did the system ignore my cancellation request when it clearly shows on the tracking list 12 hrs before? I would never have placed this order with Apple had I known they use UPS. What a horrible company, this is not my first bad experience with them.

An Over Night package from less than 100 miles away is taking more than 4 days to arrive! The sad part is that is is medicine for my husband who will go in withdrawal and be suffering due to not having it. He is a disabled veteran and goes through this nonsense nearly every 30 days as that is the amount refilled in his prescription. We have been lied to on so many occasions both last night and this morning are the most recent ones, when we manage to get a warm body on the phone. IT truly is a miracle when a package comes in the timeframe it is supposed to come. If they lose the package, they never admit it. Their practice is that is will probably turn up in some truck in its return and they can try again tomorrow... Just so sad how they treat veterans let alone just another human being. What goes around needs to come around to this low integrity organization.

FedEx is the Mercedes of delivery and UPS is the Turd (cause turds are brown - like their slogan what can brown do for you). Just a sh!tty delivery company.

Apparently not....Tired of claims of delivery, me hunting all over the neighborhood and then hours after it was supposedly delivered to my front door = a neighbor from blocks away shows up with the package. Looking for something again today....I think the delivery people steal half of the "missing" packages, especially if they think it's something electronic or re-sellable. Terrible tracking. Hate them so much !!

I hate UPS so much. I don't understand why retailers don't give you the option to choose which company you want to deliver your package. The UPS guy on my route seems to just drive by my apartment without even trying to get in. Once they are at the door the landlord opens the door. There is also a sign that says the back door is wide open. Amazon, FedEx, DoorDash, etc. Delivery ppl can figure this out, but not UPS. Instead they drop my package off at some dusty CVS in the hood where the parking lot is a nightmare and there is only one person working so you have to wait on a long line. But this latest feat was their best magic trick, in the tracking it said they dropped it off there, but I went through the nightmare line and traffic, only to discover the package is not there. I paid for 3 day shipping because I needed the item by October 25. It is now November 9 and I don't have the package. Now when I put in the tracking number the UPS site just says loading. UPS you are supposed to deliver packages, but instead you lose, steal, and abuse packages.

Contact UPS if you have low blood pressure, if you like rabbit holes, automated customer disservice, and talking with people who cannot answer a single off script question with asking unrelated, non-productive questions of their own, before apologizing for not being able to help you.
Their motto should be something like: "You're lucky when we're lucky ". If you have had several experiences with UPS, chances are better than half of them were awful, dismal, terrible, or "D", all of the above.
It is difficult to get a UPS person to talk with you, and even more difficult to get the same answer from more than one of them.
It's amazing they have anything that could be called a "success rate". I just don't understand why businesses would contract UPS for package handling.

I called them to have them call me or text me to say when they are here cause I don't have a buzzer to my apartment or I can have it delivered to another friends place or I could pick it up. He said it would take a few days to reset it up for another house or pick up and said he will note that they will call or text. Got neither the next day and missed the delivery. Then they told me that oh that agent was wrong and a driver cannot do that. I wish companies would boycott UPS using them for deliveries.

Oh boy I guess my package missed its once every 24-36 hour movement attempt. Arrived in my state at 6:30 last night but no movement since, and it only needed to travel another 30 minutes max. How pathetic is that? Ups takes 3 days to move 3 states, then fails to move the last 18 miles so package can be on time. Maybe if they actually tried to keep things moving, and tried transporting things like they are paid for, instead of actively looking for reasons not to deliver things on time, there wouldn't be 10's of 1000's of complaints. I've never seen any big company try so little to achieve their stated purpose. It's like UPS tries to fail just to show how important they are. It's weird but it's like UPS has a serious ego problem.

I also enjoy how they say right on the 800 number no one can help you, to file a claim on the website. But you can't use the website unless you have an account. Ah! Well played, UPS! So after they collect your information to sell it to third parties and you are able to find find the place on the site to file the lost package claim they say your package cannot have a claim filed upon it. Happy days are here again! I have wasted an hour trying to just get a response on your mistake, only to be told to screw off and that I cannot be helped. I certainly hope my kid's Halloween costume will enjoy living out the rest of it's days in a UPS facility in Rossford Ohio instead of, you know, being delivered. What a bunch of turds.

Meanwhile, the deliver date for USPS, and FedEx hardly ever changes, and sometimes arrives a day early. I have a really hard time understanding how UPS is still doing any business, their delivery service is shockingly incapable in comparison to competitors.

Thank you so much for being inconsiderate and not caring that my delivery missing means we must endure 24 degree temperature at night without any means of heat as we live on solar and propane methods. This was supposed to help us stay warm. Why do I pay for Amazon prime to be stuck with a delivery service like ups. I don't have these issues with FedEx or USPS deliver stuff. I called their customer service and they stated that it was due to be delivered on 10/31 or 11 days from when it was sent where their website says 4 days for delivery. October 25th at 1:01pm it was marked delivered to front porch (it was not) I filed a complaint and there was no update until 9pm when the route finally updated. Now it does this

4:59pm departed sparks facility
5:27pm arrived at sparks facility
6:21pm departed sparks facility
October 26th 2:48am arrived in Ontario CA
Now it's expected to arrive today by 7pm and it has completely left the state of Nevada in which it is supposed to be delivered in. How is this acceptable.

They go to a building, if they can’t get in the take your package to Drop facility and wait for you to come pick it up. They used to make at least 3 attempts for delivery. Not anymore. I’m disabled, can’t get to your pick up point. Asked UPS to re-deliver to me. They never did. Instead UPS said they delivered back to to sender at sender’s request. When I called sender they told me they’ve been having a lot of problems with UPS and they never requested it back and they’ll resend. Thanks UPS, you picked a fitting color for your company banner; dog shit.

UPS sucks bc literally, no matter what service you pay for, theres always a problem. Today it's a next day air that says it's on time, the flight departed and landed, but tracking wont update. So the customer is left to wonder "did just my package not make it?", "is it just the tracking?", "did it get lost?". No other delivery company has these chronic issues and it makes an incredibly stressful situation. I wish companies wouldn't use UPS. I'm so sick of paying extra for the purpose of making it less stressful, only to have UPS f%@k up anyways.

I got an email from UPSuck, that said I was charged $10 due to package being returned "Undeliverable". My discover card was saved on ups.com, this is how they charged me. Lesson learned! I deleted the card. I took the package to the local store, the guy said it was coming up as a fraudulent package! Asked me if I sent something I shouldn't. I said yes, if musical equipment was illegal. I then asked what I could do, he said he didn't know. When I got home, I called them, lady told me the same thing. So I just tried emailing them to explain and tell them I wanted all my money back. I'm not holding my breath. I have sent many things thru UPSuck, but have never had this happen. UNBELIEVABLE! So they charged me for THEIR screw up, and now I'm not sure how much to return to the guy, wasn't his fault or mine. UPSUCKS! Will use FEDEX I guess, though not sure they're any better. These scam companies(there are a LOT) can do whatever they want, and we can't do anything about it.

UPS sent me a message telling me that the package was going to be delivered on "Thursday". After this it sent me an email telling me that my package was coming on Friday instead, and in that email was the tracking number. When I clicked on the tracking number, I was told that the package was still coming on Thursday, and if I tracked it at the actual UPS website, it ALSO said that it was still coming on Thursday.
I called UPS to ask about this and was told, "Oh, to get ACCURATE tracking, you have to sign up for UPS My Choice!"
This is NUTS. If UPS "accurate tracking" is only found via UPS My Choice, then why does UPS send inaccurate email updates that say "click on the tracking number for details", or offer inaccurate tracking information via its own website? To improve customer service, you put the improved feature UP FRONT, you don't ADD it to older options that are not as good.

Immediately called them and I was told that they were going to call dispatch immediately and find out what happened. Someone will call me shortly. Of course no one called. Package was rerouted to a pickup point. Next day (Saturday) go to UPS Store and was told that package will be there Monday. Called UPS and was told that package was at a center that was closed on Saturdays. I Specially enjoy the constant "we are sorry, but we are not going to do anything about it other than click our keyboard for your amusement...but we are sorry". Monday came, UPS Store closes at 6:30 pm. Package was delivered to the UPS store at 6:37 pm. Cause nothing says we are sorry more than doubling and tripling down on your f%@k up.

Since the center is literally 45 minutes away, I thought that finally, after 4 months of bs delays, UPS had finally figured it out, but nope. UPS couldn't move a trailer 45 minutes to its final destination 16 hours. They had 16 hours to simply bring the packages to the depot, but instead they'll just leave it until Monday. No updates, no scans, they don't even bother to tell you they aren't going to be on time, the whole experience is a giant f%@k you to customers. They just don't care and don't want to work at all anymore. There is no excuse why they couldn't find one person to drive 23 miles in over 16 hours. It doesn't just effect me when they do this dumb shit, itll be my entire region and people talk about it. My neighbor relies on them for her childs epilepsy meds and omg, she is in tears at least once a week. They constantly misload her meds or they just don't come. She has no choice bc insurance ships it. That has been the real eye opener for me, just watching how chaotic it is for her every week. She even told me that they send them 2 days ahead now, and she will still have to bring her baby to the hospital at least every month bc they simply fail to deliver. UPS f%@ks up people's lives so they can be lazy and do just enough to get paid. Unbelievably bad company. I'm mad over a pair of shoes, I cant even imagine my rage if their bullshit was harming my child, I'd lose it on them.

I also informed them to have the driver call me on arrival. They said they will relay the message to the driver but some drivers don't call. As my shit luck would have it I didn't receive a phone call and they left a delivery notice on the entrance door for me to pickup at a UPS access point. Do they expect me to wait hours and hours by the main door for them to show up? FOH... This is such a major inconvenience for me because I am still recovering from foot surgery and I have to take time out of my day to retrieve my damn parcel. I had a homemaker help me out before but they suck ass and I no longer require their lackluster services. Fortunately I'm able to pace myself and do certain things on my own. Two separate UPS trucks came to my apt. building today but neither had anything for me. I called UPS C/S and requested a Supervisor and then when the rep kept talking I politely explained that I worked in C/S years ago and I know they are supposed to do everything but let a customer speak with a supervisor but she needed to put one on for me. The supervisor very politely put me on hold and talked with the location where the package was last (ups garage nearest me) and they said it wasn't scanned but it was out for delivery today and not to worry, it will be today. So, checked the lobby of my building, checked the outside of my door, the outside of the front door of the building and guess what, not here. I hate to sound rude because I know they do get a ton of packages out across America but at this point I just feel stupid for believing people. The bottom line is that I am (just as we all are) a nameless number on a list, a list of packages that don't ever get to their destination and was this gift card stolen? I'm going to say yes and now I have to figure out how to get Apple to cancel it, meaning more time on the phone. I'm sorry UPS but you suck. smh

Ordered a gift card from Apple; it was showing "Out for delivery" yesterday, 09/13/2022 yet never arrived. I waited until 10PM before I gave up because I know some of the drivers are overloaded and might actually be running very late. One UPS truck arrived at my building at approx. 3:00 PM but did not have my envelope/package. I have now been checking the website all morning and continues to indicate "The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible." I waited all day yesterday and now I am waiting again. I called their C/S dept. and talked with a rep who told me it was on it's way to me. I asked if it was showing a delivery date for her as today because in the regular UPS site it does not confirm that it is actually out. She then proceeded to provide me with information that I had just gone over with her regarding the status showing on the website. I even created a login with the hope that more info would be available. I am under the impression at this point that the gift card is missing/stolen and they have not indicated on the site that it will be delivered today because they have no idea where it is. I understand that these things happen but what can be frustrating is waiting around to make sure I get it IF it does come because I am worried it will be stolen if they leave it loose in the lobby which is now what often happens due to a new driver. I used to order things online all the time but now I know it just isn't worth the stress of making sure the item is actually delivered and trying to figure out where it is left. Funnily enough the UPS.com site now shows NO indication that yesterday it was absolutely showing, "Out for delivery." Again, these things happen, that's life but just super stressed now over something so stupid and no, I didn't want the gift card emailed to me because I have had trouble with those not activating properly over the years. Long story short- if you can go and get something in person do not have it delivered!

After about a week I tried to track it because it was not delivered.
I discovered that it was never scanned out of the store which means a store employee (or someone else) stole it.
UPS will not take responsibility for the shipping loss saying that because it was a pre-paid label, any loss is the recipient's responsibility. The recipient says it is only responsible once the package is scanned out of the store. In short, nobody takes responsibility.

Yet another lost package that was marked "out of delivery", my second one in a short time frame. My failure rate for FedEx and USPS is 0%. Also the package claim process in garbage, I have never gotten my package or my money back.
UPS relies on "logical scans" to tell you where you package is much of the time, meaning you're told where the package is based on where it should be, NOT where it actually is. This is why stuff gets marked "out of delivery" that isn't even physically on the truck. When you call UPS to sort this out, you have to directly ask them if it was a "physical or logical scan" - they can see this on their end but won't volunteer it much of the time. UPS' own tracking system will continuously lie to you and claim it's out for delivery until YOU call UPS on their bluff and pursue it by filing a claim. I have never once had UPS proactively inform me that my package was lost.
This company is not ethical, probably as a result of their employees being organized by the mob (Teamsters).

Si, I decided to run errands in the morning, when I suddenly receive an email at 12:20pm saying "sorry we missed you." I called and got very upset with a customer service who said the delivery window was 11am-1pm. This was NEVER the case (i still have all correspondencefrom ups to prove it), so either he lied or the driver changed the time to reflect when he came to my house. Either way, inexcusable! So, with today being Labor Day, I was told they would try again Tuesday 11am-1pm...when I'm at work. I went to their site to change the time, to discover you must be a premium member. So, I paid $20 to upgrade so I could change the window to 3pm-5pm. An hour later, I receive an email saying nope, "we'll deliver Wednesday 11am-1pm"...when i am once again at work. Why in the world did I just pay $20!!! I have now changed to just hold it at the ups store and I'll get the package myself, as apparently I am far more competent than them.

Geeze where do I start? The union losers at Un-reliable Package Service couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the bottom. Every year they are paid more and deliver less. The problems I have had with them ranges from backing over my flag pole to now just not delivering packages. Last winter I was notified that my package had been delivered at the front door. It was not there, I walked around and found it AT THE ROAD BY THE MAILBOX! It had snowed and there was half an inch of snow on the ground so the lazy ass union driver just left it at the road where it could have easily been stolen. I called and complained and was basically dismissed and hung up on. I ordered a part and needed it the next day. I received an email saying it would be delivered between 1:00pm and 7:00pm. At noon I left to run a quick errand i got back at about 12:40, as I pulled in the driveway I saw the sign on the door that said I missed the delivery at 12:15. I called and complained and tried to get them to come back since I paid for overnight. I was told I wasn't there for the delivery so they had met their obligation. I asked why they would tell me that they would be there between 1 and 7 and then show up at 12:15 when they weren't expected. The woman on the phone dismissed it as it "was just an estimated time" I told her "don't tell me you are going to be there in a certain time frame and then fail yo do what you said" and that I wanted a refund of the overnight charges. She hung up. Last week I was expecting a new cell phone. I was told it would be delivered tomorrow. I had to work so I looked at the email and nowhere did it say I had to sign for it. So as I'm pulling in the driveway there was that dreaded note on the door. No one home to sign for it. But here is the new failure of ups. Now they will not try to deliver it the next day. They now tell you where you can drive to and pick it up! Now these lazy ass union losers won't even try to deliver it again and is it at a ups store? NO! I had to go to Target, the nest day. I guess they don't want you to come to the ups terminal where you can find a supervisor and give them hell. I have started adding a note to all of my orders requesting they use any other shipping method. Sometime it works, most time it doesn't ups SUCKS!

They don't bother scanning after that, and then I'm just left in limbo waiting as delivery date passes, no updates, they don't even bother to use their fake delays anymore. These are medical packages so its really scary and stressful and bc its through insurance, I cant upgrade the shipping or use another carrier. I long for the days when FEDEX was the carrier and I could relax knowing that even if it was late, it wouldn't be late late, but with UPS you literally have no info to go on. UPS has a laziness, and lying problem and it sucks. They do not care. They are the epitome of corporate greed.

Then the battle to get a human on the phone or a call back in a timely fashion. I was told an investigation has been kicked off, but it would take up 8 days to complete. This is a large 55 lb box!!!!!!
I live on the east coast and could have driven there, found it myself, and driven home before they compete their investigation!
Clearly…they suck as a business.
Time to improve the customer service. Call centers located everywhere but the USA and the agent reads from a script providing no help what so ever! Calling the automated phone support system will only leave you more discouraged.

I tried being patient and loyal, but after witnessing time and time again that Amazon packages are not getting delayed ever, also with ground shipping, I'm done with UPS. I'm only going to order from sellers using other couriers, period. Even though that means ending a 10 year customer relationship, I have to bc UPS's disrespect and disregard for full price paying customers is despicable and I won't participate in it anymore. So theres 2 classes of shipping now people, theres "corporate friendly" and then there's "retail customer friendly", and UPS has chosen the former unfortunately. That should make all of us very angry. In case you don't notice yet, they are trying to separate us into different classes of people, at their discretion, and we should not fund our own demise. We dont deserve 2nd rate service at 1st rate cost so Jeff Bezos can buy another $100 million yacht. Wake up people. Wake up.

The current package I am waiting on shipped from Southern CA to Northern CA, initial delivery date was scheduled for Thursday 18 Aug wouldn't you know it, delivery date rescheduled for Friday 19 Aug, package arrived in West Sac 40 miles from my home. OOOOpppsss sorting error, package sent to Chico CA 50 miles north of my house, back to Sacramento. Finally "on vehicle for delivery" 20 Aug, can't wait!!! NOPE delivery re-scheduled 20th was a Sat so fingers crossed for Monday now. Again, this is not the only package that this type of issue has occurred over the past few months. I am not certain when UPS was contracted by USPS but has this increase in volume effected the efficiency of UPS?

Their customer service is one of the most disorganised I've ever experienced. The individuals I spoke with on the phone were friendly enough and tried to be helpful, but it's clear the overall management and leadership at UPS is absolutely horrible. It took me 2 hours (!!!) of phone calls to get the help I needed. I would call their general customer service, they would ask me for my tracking number, etc, and after all that would transfer me to another department. Then I'd have to explain the same situation yet again (that the package I've sent using UPS Express has gone missing and there are no tracking updates whatsoever). Then that department would tell me I need to "file a claim" online and asks me for my email address so she can send me a link (don't you have my email already if I just gave you my tracking number?). Instead of helping to fill out a claim for me through the phone I now needed to do this myself through the email link which is fine.
I click the link and (because clearly UPS doesn't check to see if their website pages are working correctly or updated) I'm not able to select the option "Sender". The only option available to click is "Receiver", even though I am the sender of the package. Also, my problem isn't listed under the "Select reason for claim" list. All kinds of issues are listed there, but not the simple option of "Missing package". So I'm not able to file the claim correctly. Then I had to call them back yet again and explain that the the claims page wasn't working correctly (because of said issues). They then ask me to call the technical department, and instead of just transferring me, give me the number instead. I write down the number and call the tech department. Long story short, they weren't able to help me and I had to call regular customer service back again and explain the whole damn situation yet again, as well as giving him my tracking number yet again. Thankfully, this guy was friendly and helped me out. He helped file a claim for a missing package through the phone, and said I should be contacted within 24 hours through phone or email.
I thanked him for his patience, and immediately after the phone-call I'm asking myself "Why am I thanking him for HIS patience, when I have just been on the phone for literally 2 hours, trying to get the help I need for my missing UPS Express package." Shaking my head haha.
So now I'll have to see if they indeed contact me within 24 hours to help me figure out where the package is. Again, I chose the UPS Express option (which is close to $40) because I wanted my package, a large envelope with a long letter and a birthday card, to reach a friend in the U.S. on time for his birthday. 6 days later there's been no update on tracking and I don't even know if it's left my country (Netherlands).
Long story short: One of the most disorganised customer service experiences I've had, and also one of the most exhausting. If they were well organised this issue could have been solved in 10 minutes. Again, I spent literally 2 hours on the phone trying to get the help I needed. It's quite outrageous. Unless I truly had no other choice, I will never ship anything with UPS again. Last time for me.

After paying their outrageous brokerage fees (why so high?) I receive a letter in the mail a few weeks later. Somehow the amount owed on the invoice has changed and they want another $7.30 from me! I can't tell where this change came from.
There is no email or any other record of this change, just a random paper letter in the mail. I didn't think anyone seriously used normal mail anymore.
Okay fine, whatever, but I can't even log in to pay the extra bill because they have a 6 digit limit on the info field for account number and mine is 10 digits long...
Now I'm worried if I don't pay it I'll be subjected to their "late payment fee", which is 5% of outstanding charges. Not like 5% of $7.30 is a lot of money, but I'd loathe to give them more of my hard earned paycheck.
I'd be annoyed if they just charged you more than what's needed, but on top of that they can't be bothered to make it simple or easy to pay and understand their invoices.
Ridiculous and frustrating. I hope their company goes bankrupt.
I will make a point of telling everyone I know not to use UPS in the future.

I phoned customer customer disservice and they told me I had to pay the customs fee, I had to provide payment reference number to prove I had actually already paid the fee. The call handler then told me I had missed the second and final delivery attempts. Why did the system ignore my cancellation request when it clearly shows on the tracking list 12 hrs before? I would never have placed this order with Apple had I known they use UPS. I discovered that it was never scanned out of the store which means a store employee (or someone else) stole it.
UPS will not take responsibility for the shipping loss saying that because it was a pre-paid label, any loss is the recipient's responsibility. The recipient says it is only responsible once the package is scanned out of the store. In short, nobody takes responsibility.

UPS relies on "logical scans" to tell you where you package is much of the time, meaning you're told where the package is based on where it should be, NOT where it actually is. This is why stuff gets marked "out of delivery" that isn't even physically on the truck. When you call UPS to sort this out, you have to directly ask them if it was a "physical or logical scan" - they can see this on their end but won't volunteer it much of the time. UPS' own tracking system will continuously lie to you and claim it's out for delivery until YOU call UPS on their bluff and pursue it by filing a claim. I have never once had UPS proactively inform me that my package was lost.
This company is not ethical, probably as a result of their employees being organized by the mob (Teamsters).

Time to improve the customer service. Call centers located everywhere but the USA and the agent reads from a script providing no help what so ever! Calling the automated phone support system will only leave you more discouraged.
