UPS is worse than gutter trash. Over 2019 alone, I’ve attempted to have 9 packages delivered by UPS. For some context, I live in an apartment building that has a digital buzzer directory, along with a concierge and even a very expensive smart parcel drop off machine. You pop the package in a sizeable slot, pick a name from the directory, and the system locks the compartment and texts the receiver that the package is waiting for them.

With all of these options in place, UPS, without fail, will either choose to never come up to the door, or to come up and stick an InfoNotice on the door without attempting delivery. The package then gets sent to a shanty Access Point that is very difficult to reach without a car. This place is a hefty walking distance from its nearest bus stop, and looks like a dungeon with no lights. If you have a large package, don’t even think about it.

So 9 packages in a row, they’ve done this. Most times, an InfoNotice isn’t even left. So I phone the “Customer Support” to attempt a redelivery. Generally the timeline then follows this:

First agent says “I forwarded your request for redelivery, it will be delivered guaranteed within 1-2 business days”. 2 business days later, no parcel, no updates to tracking. I call back.

Second agent says “I don’t see any attempt made for redelivery. I will send a message to our dispatch centre that this needs to be delivered”. Another day passes, no updates to tracking and no parcel. I call back.

Third agent says “I don’t have any updates that I can see, it’s still at the Access Point”. Great, so absolutely nothing was done. Ask to be transferred to a manager. After fighting to their dying breath, I get transferred.

Manager says the same thing. “I’m just a customer support manager, I have no control over deliveries”. They offer to contact the service centre again. Another day passes, no callbacks, no package.

This is the standard procedure until you pay out the back pocket for a taxi and lug the package back yourself, or you call and call and call until you’ve torn all your hair out, and one magical lucky day they attempt a redelivery. God save you if you’re not home on that day, or if the lazy driver fails to actually attempt buzzing you.

This most recent package of mine has followed the same direction. Hilariously, this time the manager wanted me to just stay on the line with her while she attempted to “message” the center. We sat there listening to each other breathing (no joke) for over 2 hours, while the dispatch centre didn’t return any messages or pick up any call attempts. After 2.5 hours, the dispatch team responded with “the package is at the access centre”. It took them all day to tell me what the tracking information told me days ago.

So now I’m at a barricade, yet again. What does it take for a $71 billion company to do the simple task of delivering a package? Apparently nothing. Ask your sellers to never use UPS. Don’t use UPS if you want your packages actually getting somewhere. If I had a choice, I would raze the company to the ground and sleep easy knowing my packages will be sent out with a company that bothers to at least leave a notice in the absolute worst case scenario. UPS is gutter trash.

WORST SERVICE EVER! My package has not moved in over a month!!!! Called every single day and they always make different excuses. First, my commercial invoice was missing. Emailed that over. Second, package goes missing. They find it. AGAIN, they tell me commercial invoice is missing. This time, they give me ANOTHER email to send commercial invoice to. Sent over email with commercial invoice again... couple days later, package goes MISSING AGAIN!!!!!!! I have been calling everyday with promises of calling me back with an update by end of day for 30 days straight? Is that normal?! I call everyday for the past month with the same responses. It doesn’t take a month to see where a package is. They don’t give me legit reasons why the package isn’t being shipped or missing. I am seriously getting annoyed of calling them every single day JUST to get an update. They opened an investigation for me and told me it would be resolved in 8 days. It’s been two weeks after they said that. Wtf is going on?! What can I do to help get this package moving?!?!?!

I'm an RN. I often work 12 hour shifts, varying from 7-7 most days. On this occasion, I was working on the same day my package was supposed to arrive. I had it set up to just drop off the package at the back porch. For some reason, they drop one of two packages scheduled to arrive that day there. They then proceed to tell me it will be delivered to the UPS dropoff point later that day. Okay, whatever. At 7P exactly, they change it to tell me it won't be dropped off till Monday(It being Friday), and, when I call them, they tell me that it is too late, that their hours to modify delivery end at 7p. I'm unhappy about this, and extremely so because their shit call system takes 20 minutes to get to the point you can even be put on hold. I finally say screw it, but that I want to put in a complaint about the phone system, and speak to a manager. They say they'll call me tomorrow - to which they do not.

It's now Monday and, to make the best out of a bad situation, I decide I'll send a package back to amazon at the same time I pick up my package. The alert comes, and I go to the access point. Staff takes my package, but says that the other is not there, apparently the name "Furia" that accepted the package being a BS name they just put down. I call UPS and they say the package is there, to which staff says it's not. They say they'll launch an investigation into the package, only to call me an hour later and say it's at the site(It's not.) Currently on hold for the 10th time, after being spoken down to again because I want my package.

Was scheduled to receive a package at 10:30 am for something that was sent next day air. Went through 6 different arrival and departure scans between Jacksonville to Longwood before they supposedly realized my package never left KY. Was then told by a supervisor that they could potentially “Upgrade” me to Saturday delivery if they find my package. It’s arrived at the facility at 7:39 am on Saturday and never got sorted so now my “next day air” package won’t arrive until Tuesday. UPS sucks big time.

3) Tracking information is always vague. Shows point of departure, and then "in transit". To get any kind of more detailed delivery, you have to sign up for UPS My Choice. Signed up a while back, but don't remember my login info. Tried to re-register, says my user ID already exists. Selected "forgot user ID", and they said they sent it, but of course it never arrived. So I'm unable to get detailed tracking info. FedEx always provides detailed tracking info without having to go through this nonsense.

4) Expected delivery date can and does change without notice.

5) I have had UPS tell me my package was delayed due to "bad weather". When I checked the forecast all the way from the point of departure to my home (in California) it was sunny and dry the whole route.

6) Ugh, they suck. Nothing worse than waiting a week for an expected item only to find out, nope, psych! it won't actually be there till next week. Maybe we're all spoiled from Prime.

We shipped an expensive vintage computer. when customer received it, there was a big hole in the side of the box, completely damaging the computer. We shipped UPS and paid extra for insurance. Long story short, UPS took my computer for evaluation, denied the claim, then shredded the entire shipment. We had a total loss. That was the last straw, for a year and half we have used FedEx and zero problems. UPS lost way more money than if they had honored their insurance... glad to give FedEx all the business UPS would have received as we ship 4 - 5 times a week.

Once again, the UPS website LIES about when and where my package is. It only happens when I try to pay extra for next day or 2-day shipping. That service doesn't exist for them in a lot of areas....

They just take your money. Whenever they're gonna be late, they change the website so it it looks like they tried to deliver it and you weren't home. I've caught them getting the driver to leave "missed you" notes on my package when I was 10 feet from the front door. Come to find out they damaged the package and it had to be returned. I complained and the company added a USPS option, haha! I'd rather just go pick it up from the post office when it needs to be signed for. This time, different company, they said it was out for delivery, but no one left a note.

So I was quite concerned when I discovered a critical computer component I'd ordered would be sent via UPS, and did my best to change the shipper to USPS, to no avail.

Yesterday was the scheduled delivery date, and sure enough UPS texted at 10:15 PM informing me that my delivery was cancelled. And when I contacted customer service multiple times this morning no one had any idea what was going on. With some tracking information even claiming I'd rescheduled delivery myself, which of course is not true.

In any case things are so bad now that UPS can't even supply a new delivery date, and simply says I'll have to wait and see what happens. It's truly amazing.

So please sellers and consumers, drop UPS like a hot rock. They have no respect for either, and have even recently stated that residential deliveries are no longer a priority for them. Which, of course, is quite obvious.

Eight days to deliver a package from the West coast of the US to the East coast in 2019 is completely unacceptable. I didn't get to choose my shipping option so cheap shit Surepost was used instead.

Consider this... Nearly 160 years ago the Pony Express could deliver mail 1800 miles away in 10 days. We haven't come very far in a lot of ways.

It has been in the same facility for 3 days now and I've called customer service each day telling me that the package is too heavy to deliver even though it's only a 70lb package! They then realized it wasn't a heavy package and told me it would be delivered the next day. Nothing. Called again today. Told me that the driver attempted to deliver and that my package needed a signature but no one was there even though I have been at my apartment all day!! They didn't even leave a "we missed you" notice. I told the UPS rep that this was bulls**t and then she had the audacity to tell me to use adult words when they are out here with their incompetent services!

Worked from home to get my package, my desk is few meters from the door, it is impossible that I would not hear or notice that someone is ringing or knocking: the driver did not even bother to knock, he just left a note and I had to lose more than an hour to go get my package. And it happens EVERY TIME with UPS, by everytime I mean every of the 5 or 6 times they had to deliver something to me this year. Oh no wait, it also happened that I did not even got a notice and my package got sent back to the seller after it waited a week at their center. I had problems with DHL, which also sucks a lot BTW, but except with these 2 carriers I have no problem with getting deliveries... I guess it is just because they indeed suck so much!

Sort of takes the Prime out of "Prime" if you know what I mean. Amazon should think about this for rural customers--I can effort to spend a couple of dollars at Macy's etc if I have to drive into town to by a frying pan in the first place.....

Was moving from Boston to Carrboro and had to ship two boxes out through UPS. They were a part of the same shipment with concurrent "updates" for the both of them. The address got messed up...

Was moving from Boston to Carrboro and had to ship two boxes out through UPS. They were a part of the same shipment with concurrent "updates" for the both of them. The address got messed up when I shipped it out, was able to change the address through customer service. The next day, I received one of the two packages. Two days later, I find out that the second package is being returned to the sender. I've called UPS four times to have the package stopped and able to be picked up in the store. I checked the tracking number since my account wasn't given any updates and it says "Return to sender" at 9:02 pm. I called immediately, and the same line was given repeatedly by the person "it's being returned to the sender. Call back tomorrow." Fine; called back the next day, and the same line was given "it's being returned to the sender." I am the sender and the receiver, but by this day, now August 31st, I'm told they can't do anything because it's the weekend and Labor Day is coming up. Called again Sunday to see if the story changed, it didn't. Called today, and again "it's being returned to the sender." Why did they both asking if I was the sender OR receiver when on the receipt it clearly says I
m both? Why does it matter anyway if they can't do anything about it. It's been sitting in Greensboro since the 31st, supposedly "in transit" to Boston where I no longer am and don't have anyone to pick up the package? What is the point of having customer service if you provide none? Who is John Galt?

UPS is so incompetent! Annoyingly, every time I get a package delivered by UPS I not only have to chase down my package, but they never seem to update their system properly. There's been so many times where I ask for the package to be delivered to an access point, and the driver 'attempted' to deliver (EVEN WHEN IT'S A LOCKER), and they never do. To the point, I have to change the address by calling UPS or using MyChoice but they never ever update their system. They even got addresses incorrect! I've lost packages because of them.

Has anyone ever seen a company that invoices like UPS? Once a week, and the statements are like trying to read the Warren Commission Report. Why do they do it? I think for two reasons- mainly, they get paid every week instead of billing for 30 days like nearly every other company in the world. Secondly, the statements are so hard to read, I tend to think most folks just pay them without even looking at them. If you're one of them, I suggest you take a look. There's all sorts of stuff that might surprise you. "Audit" charges are just one surprise. Good old UPS. "Where the customer is always wrong"

The package was delivered the next day to a remote UPS Locker in another city. Contacted UPS who said the driver used discretion on not leaving the package. Target has had the correct address on my profile for a decade. I double-checked to make sure that it wasn't "blank" or something - Nope, UPS was given the correct address. Google Maps has absolutely no problem finding my address, in a well-populated suburban area. The package showed as "out for delivery" at 9:54 am. Then, they waited until 6:55 pm to say the address was "incorrect", making sure there was no way to call and try to square things away. They now have my number and will "attempt" shipment again tomorrow - I doubt that it will make it. Bottom line - TARGET has lost my business. I'll just use Amazon exclusively from now on. GREAT JOB TARGET - FIND A DIFFERENT SHIPPER!! I'd suggest shipping through Amazon - They have no problem with my address. LOL!!

Second, when I ask them to reroute the package to an access point, it charge me for $5.5! If I didn't request a reroute, they will deliever my package to a 6 km+ away so-called customer center. It sucks!!!!!! After all, I used USPS, FedEx, neither of them will charge service fee for a pickup!!!!!! Shame on you! Finally, I cancelled my order on Amazon.

UPS delivered a package that is not ours to our business address last week. They just left it on the street- in a major city no less. We've called four days in a row to get them to pick up the package, each time being reassured that they will send someone that day to pick it up. Nobody has showed up so far. Today I spoke with a supervisor and was told the same story. Still nothing. In the meantime, the recipient of the package has started an investigation to locate the package. All the while it's been here at our office- literally a block away from where it's supposed to be. At this point, I think we're going to walk over the one block and leave a note on the recipient's door so they can deal with this directly instead of going through UPS. What a joke!

This is ridiculous. I had a package shipped from NY to Salina Ks. The package was moving steadily in my direction, made it to a town LESS THAN AN HOUR AWAY for processing, got stuck there a day and missed my delivery date. Not a big deal really I could wait one more day, and it was approaching the weekend so it wasnt that awful. I check tracking the next day to check on it AND MY PACKAGE IS ALL THE WAY IN SIOUX FALLS SOUTH DAKOTA. What the fu*k Ups?! It was IN KANSAS less than an hour from my home. Why was it forwarded THREE STATES AWAY for more processing just for it to come all the way back across those states and land right back in the town less than an hour away. Will I actually get my mail this time, or will it see three more states in the other direction before making it back to me?

My first reaction was "NOOO f%@k they send it with UPS" and just to be sure i changed the order to a nearby UPS service point so they dont have an excuse not to ring the doorbell.

Now its evening, the shop which is an UPS service point where it was supposed to be delivered has closed.
The joke of a tracking still says "on its way, todays date, before the end of the day"

Wellwell.. perhaps maybye or maybye never i will get the book. Anyway, it was more chilling (pun intended) with the expensive winter jacket they lost another time.

When I called their BS 1-800 number to schedule another pickup they said they wouldn't come back because they're already made one attempt. No attempt was made. Now I have to bring the package to the store which will cost me $20. in Uber costs which is the whole reason I needed them to come pick up the package in the first place. The guy on the phone said they'd come back if I paid them. Paid them? To do their job that they didn't do in the first place? What a garbage POS company.

no, UPS isn't closed over the weekend but all ground shipments do not move over the weekend. WOW. Glad
the rest of the country doesn't come to a complete standstill

I was home all day Saturday, no one showed up from UPS. Home all day yesterday (Monday) WAITING on my package, UPS still hasn't shown up. This regular driver could be lazy & sloppy. That is possible. UPS often rewards those drivers with "production bonus"(meaning more pay or free pay for doing the job faster than the allotted time allowance) and other perks such as favoritism even in centers that have no monetary bonus system.

Here's what is more than likely. Your dogs feel threaten from truck or driver. Almost all dogs are friendly to their owners and their family. It's just not true towards the delivery person. He feels it's unsafe. It's true contractually that his job is to delivery your product in a safe location. Out of sight from road and away from weather. However, if it is a threatening situation. Then he doesn't have to make the attempt and he brings it back and UPS calls you to come pick up the package.

Kennel your dogs. Let UPS know and then and ONLY then can you make a claim the driver is not doing his job.

We have a regular driver who refuses to come down our driveway because of our two old gray haired rescue dogs. (Driver is African American but the dogs were rescued after their owner, an African American, passed away from old age.) Driver claims the dogs are racist (because my wife, both retired, are White). Neither dog would harm a kitten much less a human, they are just happy to be alive on our farm. We knew their former owner very well and he was a wonderful man who loved his dogs. Now, this driver has various other reasons for not delivery to other homes out here in the country on our dirt road. When there are substitute drivers, they always deliver. They always apologize for the regular route driver. The regular driver used to at least throw packages over the fence, even those refrigerated meds that we would find in the bushes ruined from the 100+ degree heat. Before that he would toss packages out by the road at the end of the driveway .... a couple were stolen (if he ever actually delivered them at all, who knows.). Our regular route driver has become so incompetent and derelict that he doesn't even bother coming down the road anymore and leaving an attempted delivery sticker .... he just flat out lies and tells his dispatcher that he did. We have now had to spend the money installing cameras to prove he is lying. It is a shame that UPS has come to this but they are the only alternative for so many people these days, it is time to fight back. This is pure discrimination and breach of contract and certain drivers are corrupt, dishonest and untrustworthy. They claim they are protected by their union. It is time to fight back. They are costing people money, time, even lives and livelihoods in some cases by not delivery needed medicines to the elderly or delivering needed material to people who may rely on such for their jobs. Basically, their pitch is simple: "We know you've had trouble collecting on damaged or lost shipment with our declared value program. But now, TADAA, we offer real coverage to pay you for the retail value of your product, not just your cost". Translated, this means UPS has screwed us for years on declared value- has anyone ever collected without it costing huge amounts of time and effort? So UPS Capital, good folks that they are, will simply charge you about double the price of declared value, and then brag about how they pay out 98% of all claims within a week. Why don't they do that anyway? Because, as always, the UPS motto is "The customer is always wrong". Are you listening, Amazon package service? Good.

The package was supposed to arrive on Saturday morning but didn't arrive until Monday due to a "mechanical failure". It arrived so late my bank was closed by the time it arrived so I couldn't get the check until Tuesday morning. I sent the package back Tuesday morning at 9:45 overnight and on Wednesday I get another notification that shipment was once again delayed due to a late aircraft. I was not home when UPS stopped by to deliver my package. The package needed a signature even though it was just shipping boxes from Dish. They sent the package to a receiving station where you had to put in your bar code, tracking number or account number to get your package. The bar code scanner was not working and when manually entering the number, it did not recognize that either. It prompted me for a phone number to which I entered, but it failed to recognize that as well. I tried calling UPS from the kiosk but the traffic noise behind me was so loud I couldn't hear anyone. UPS is the WORST shipping company. DO NOT USE THEM. Call your suppliers and tell them not to ship UPS. With enough complaints, maybe UPS will fix itself.

Starting today he makes $38.40 and hour and $57.40 in overtime. Gets overtime after 8-hours each day even if he works 2-days a week at 10.5 hours each day. He gets 16-hours paid at $38.40 and 4.5 hours paid at $57.60.

He just has to put in 7-hours a week on average of overtime at 52-weeks and he'll make just a little under $101,000.

He thinks he'll be at $106,000 in 2020. Factoring in the raise next August 1st.

No clear answer from UPS why it waited that long. But that wasn't the only problem, after 8 days of waiting period the package came to my work address but it wasn't delivered due to custom fee again. UPS driver did not have the information that the fee had been paid(FYI: it was paid by using UPS website). Calling UPS back and forth did not help but just caused more frustration as the customer support people at Canada (1 800 263 81 25-2-1) wasn't really helpful. It is 29th July today and still waiting for package and don't have any ETA or delivery time.

The Arkansas & Tennessee tracking could be your gold is heavy. He/she leaves note and will return next day but it's on floor in back due to the weight and gets mixed in with the pickup packages he picked up that afternoon. At the UPS building the unloader loads it on belt and it gets put back on trailer and goes to Arkansas and then comes back... same scenario with Tennessee.

The Return to Sender is either a third and final attempt was made or the package has multiple address labels and don't know if it goes to Virginia, Arkansas or Tennessee.

My UPS rep retired and trying to find out who replaced him. I called the local UPS facility, and, of course, the phone is answered by a UPS call center. No telling where it is. While it would seem simple to just give them my account number and then they tell me my account rep's contact info, that isn't how it works. They take my number and someone will call me back. That will be fine if they do, but what happens if they don't? I start all over from the beginning. And all of this stems from my driver not signing the form UPS makes me provide for the driver to sign. When the bluish gray trucks start hauling my packages, I believe the service will be much better. Is UPS too big to fail? The answer to that is another question: Was Sears too big to fail?
And by the way, what would have been logical is for the new UPS account rep to send out his contact info to every customer in my old rep's database. I guess that would make far too much sense.

On May 23 I sold a scale model of a submarine on ebay. The sale price was $945.00. Given the fragile nature of this rare and valuable item, I took great pains to ensure it was properly packed for...

On May 23 I sold a scale model of a submarine on ebay. The sale price was $945.00. Given the fragile nature of this rare and valuable item, I took great pains to ensure it was properly packed for shipping. In addition to packing the model in its original, specially designed shipping box (complete with custom-crafted foam cradle) I enlisted the aid of my local UPS store in ----------, CA (UPS Store ----). One of that store’s employees, "BC", watched as I packed the model for shipping. When I asked for his opinion of my efforts he reassured me the package was good to go. And so it was, or so I thought.

The insured package shipped from the UPS Store on May 28 via Ground Delivery Confirmed to an address in Gulfport, MS. The shipping charges came to $103.73. The declared value was $1,000.00.

The package arrived at its destination a few days later, on June 3. Despite extensive packing precautions, the model arrived damaged. The ebay purchaser demanded a refund. Per ebay rules, I had no choice but to pay for the damaged model to be shipped back to my home in El Segundo. Upon hearing about the damages, "BC" at Store ---- suggested I file a claim. As part of the UPS investigation, I was told that someone from UPS might need to come to my home to inspect the damaged model as well as the packaging materials. I agreed. On Friday, June 14, a UPS representative came to my house. I was not home, but my wife was. Instead of inspecting and/or photographing the damaged model and package, the UPS rep packed the empty shipping box and the model’s foam packing cradle into a truck and left. My wife believed I had given UPS authorization to take these items. I had not, nor had I been asked to. Most distressing of all, the box still contained a couple small parts which had broken off the model.

I immediately contacted store 2991. "BC" explained the package would be taken to a UPS facility and examined pursuant to my damage claim. Several days passed. Contacted by a new possible buyer via ebay, I began to negotiate a discounted sale price for the now damaged model. As our negotiations continued, I contacted Store ---- to inquire about getting the shipping box and foam packing cradle back. I was informed the items in question had been sent to the UPS hub in Gardena, CA for inspection. I asked when I could expect to have the items returned. "BC" told me he had left a message at the Gardena hub and would let me know once he heard back. Several days passed. On June 23, I left town for a quick business trip. Upon my return, on June 25, I once again contacted "BC". He told me he had finally managed to speak to someone at the Gardena hub and had learned that my shipping box was now “missing.” I was told an investigation had been launched into the box’s whereabouts.

On July 2, I drove to store ---- and asked "BC" for the address of the Gardena hub. He allowed me to take a phone pic of an internal UPS document displaying the address. The location was a 45 minute drive from my home. I arrived only to discover the address provided via the UPS document was inaccurate; there was no UPS hub at that location. I immediately run a Google search and locate the hub. Over an hour later I arrived at the UPS Gardena hub.

When I explained my situation to the service reps behind the counter they sympathized with my frustration but didn’t seem terribly surprised that my claim had not advanced. They informed me that the UPS employees responsible for inspecting damaged shipping boxes at the Gardena hub were “on strike.” As a result, there was a huge backup of uninspected packages.

I asked how long it would take for someone at UPS to inspect my package and address my claim. No one could give me an answer. I asked if there was any way of knowing whether or not the inspection had already taken place (by this point, UPS had been in possession of the box for over 2 weeks). Once again, no one could give me an answer.

Finally, owing to my persistent requests, one of the service reps agreed to conduct a quick search for my box. A few minutes later he reappeared, box in hand. Now badly damaged from repeated rough handling, the box had now been rendered essentially useless as a shipping container (the physical condition of the original shopping box factors in to the value of the collectable itself). Worst of all, the small model parts which had been left in the box were nowhere to be found.

The reps behind the counter expressed regret over the “inconvenience.” I asked to speak to a manager. After a brief phone call, I was informed that “Roger Flores” was in a meeting but that he would call me back. After providing my phone number, I asked if there was any other course of action available to customers in my position. I was advised to lodge a “corporate complaint.” One of the reps quips that doing so was “the only way anything gets done.”

Faced with prospect of leaving my package for inspection at some unspecified date based on the whims of striking employees, I decided instead to take my damaged shipping box and leave.

Not surprisingly, I never heard from “Roger Flores” nor anyone else at UPS. Subsequent attempts to reach Mr. Flores were unsuccessful.

I have since attempted to repair the damaged model but rare and (potentially) valuable collector’s items of this nature derive their worth based largely on their condition. For obvious reasons a “near-mint” replica (which mine was, prior to shipping) is significantly more valuable than one which has sustained damage. Despite my best efforts, my model will never be in the near-mint condition it was before UPS mishandled it. It doesn’t help that ebay buyers in the collectors’ market are very savvy when it comes to seeing previously sold items come up for resale – for obvious reasons they are not interested in spending good money on damaged goods.

And so I continue to wrangle with UPS in the hopes that the company will do the right thing. For a while there it appeared such would be the case: On July 12 "BC" informed me that UPS had agreed to settle the claim and asked me to forward details of the original ebay sale and the buyer’s subsequent request for a complete refund owing to shipping damage. I promptly forwarded the requested information and images. Two days later, "BC" told me the check would be issued, probably within the week.

Clearly that was wishful thinking. On July 18, I received a call from "BC" informing me that, contrary to our last conversations and email exchanges, UPS was now requesting additional images of the damaged model -- this after UPS had perviously came to my home to inspect the damage in person! Still jumping thru hoops, I have attached the requested images — although obviously I can’t post images of the aforementioned missing parts.

It boggles the imagination the amount of time and (wasted) energy that I, "BC", and untold other UPS “customer service” representatives have spent on this case over the course of the last several weeks. And still there appears to be no resolution in sight. Given all of the above I’m beginning to wonder if UPS takes a perverse pleasure in torturing its customers (I’ve never had this happen with FedEx).

To recap: I trusted UPS to do its job. The results, recounted here, depict a pattern of carelessness and incompetence that is remarkable even by the standards of modern shipping companies.

Customers have options re: the organizations they choose to ship their valuables. To my regret I chose UPS. Rest assured I'll never do so again. I guess the one bit of good news in all this is that I’m now in an ideal position to warn my friends and colleagues in the collectors’ community about the risks of shipping with UPS.

Meanwhile my other package one stopped updating 3 days ago. UPS is terrible, they are always running late, scuff up your package or even worse sometimes they arrive with holes in them. I can't stand this company! No one is perfect, but come on! I consistently get bad service from UPS and consistently get average or above average service from USPS or FedEX.

Every time I entered the zip code it would change the city to another city, I assume, in the same zip code. Now I'm afraid the package will get lost and UPS will say it's my fault.
Other times, I get to the final page where it says "click to pay and get label," and the little wheel begins to spin, and doesn't stop! It just keeps spinning, like my temper! Fifteen minutes later I finally had to click cancel shipment! What the hell is wrong with these people!?

I really truly do luv that UPS does everything in their power to ensure that they meet their stated expected delivery time. INCLUDING routing packages in the opposite direction and holding packages a state or city away overnight so that they don't get to you earlier than expected. I mean who would want to receive their package early right?
My current example is a package coming from Arkansas to Arizona. Even though I am due West of the origin state, my package has gone north East to Kentucky. I have had stuff sit in neighboring States for over 24 hours and then delivered on time so I feel pretty confident in thinking this is just another way of ensuring that they do not deliver early.

Mean while USPS will get me items from Florida in one day via standard 2-3 day priority mail using UPS planes. Go figure.

So, the mattress (from Endy) comes all the way from another province, gets put in a UPS truck for delivery in Montreal, tracking info says "Out for delivery", I wait home all day until 9pm and find that the driver decided it was too heavy and sent it back.

A half hour on the phone with UPS and they promise to deliver it the next day so I spend yet another day at home waiting and I get an email notice "Sorry we missed you" claiming that they tried to deliver but I wasn't home. Absolute BS. (I even checked to make sure the doorbell was working).

Fine. I update the address on the UPS website (which also doesn't keep you logged in as you navigate the pages of the site), and finally manage to get the address updated. Hooray! Problem solved, right? NOPE. Get a text notification 10 minutes later saying that the address is, again, invalid. f%@k IT, WE'LL DO IT LOCAL! I get on the phone and call UPS to have the packages sent to my local center where I can just pick them up after work. Simple and clean solution, although it's a bit annoying to not have my packages sent directly to me...y'know, like what I paid for. BUT NO! No, UPS says I have to wait until there is an ATTEMPT to deliver my packages, which will not arrive here, before I can opt to pick up local.

How in the flying f%@k is that a solution, UPS? Because your driver/GPS can't read/doesn't work, now I have to go through all the bullshit of waiting, calling you assholes AGAIN, and then HOPEFULLY getting my packages TOMORROW.

Ordered a birthday present for my 10 yr old on Amazon, 2day shipping, supposed to receive on the 3rd, get a notice that delivery was attempted but unable to deliver. My mailing address is a Postal Annex and delivery was "attempted" during business hours, why couldn't it be delivered?! Same message on the 5th, attempted but couldn't deliver. I call to find out where my package was and why they couldn't deliver it. Come to find out someone put it on the wrong truck, it's on a truck for "closures", whatever that's supposed to mean. So the dispatcher tells me she will have it pulled and put on the correct truck to be delivered on Saturday by 12 noon. Well I check tracking and now it says I won't get it till Monday! I call and get a supervisor on the phone and he tells me it's not on a truck, it's in a warehouse that is not open but he'll place a ticket and have someone call me back. I'm livid at this point and tell him I don't care who does it but you need to get my package and deliver it to me today! I get a call back from someone else who assures me that it is on a truck and will be delivered today. Well, it's 3:54 and it hasn't even been scanned into the system that it's out for delivery. I hope they are happy they made a 10 yr old cry because he has nothing to open for his birthday and it was the only thing he asked for. 2day shipping turning into 7, how the hell can they get away with this crap!

A week later, it's still not there.
I call again, asking them to "please deliver it to the access point"
They say sure!
I get a notification they changed the delivery location to the access point and it will be delivered to the access point the following day.
Three days later its not there.
Then they drop it off outside the door of the apartment building (not the access point) and my brother happened to see it when he came to visit.
If he hadn't come to visit, my package would just be gone.

I have a package which was "Destination Scanned" at 7:37PM on 06/28/2019 (a Friday), sitting in Richmond BC, CA. It was shipped 06/11/2019 (a Friday) from Alabama and it took a couple of days for the site to be updated with the "Scheduled Delivery" date of 07/02/2019. Even though the package was "Destination Scanned" on 06/28/2019, UPS did not deliver the package on 07/01/2019 (a Monday), even though they had it on hand and could have delivered the package. Instead, because it wasn't "Scheduled for delivery" until 07/02/2019 (a Tuesday), the package has sat dormant since 06/28/2019. Pathetic!

In addition, UPS has made it virtually impossible (via their website) to talk to a human being in Customer Support.

I am so sorry for being a worthless, unappreciative union member. I have worked at UPS for 11-years and the last 4-years have made over 6-figures. In total I have made $987,000 and get free healthcare, all 52-weekends off. Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and 4-weeks of paid vacation and 1-week of sick pay. One month from today I will make over $38 an hour as a UPS driver with only a high school diploma. I will retire around 51 with an excellent pension for life and this week I'll receive $1400 on the 2018-2023 contract.

I'm sorry I'm self centered, ignorant and honestly a smoldering pos. I will no longer bash the union or try and convince its dues paying members with lies and anger-filled hate that boils within me.

Proceed to send 2 postcards to the same address telling me they cannot deliver to the address. What the AF UPS? Call "customer service" and get very little help from them. They ask for a "good address". I give them the same address. The package arrives the day with a correct address covering the correct address.

The driver who "shot this up as no such street" is a LIAR!! Management is lackadaisical, at best. They will not return calls. They do not care about anything except what their "numbers" are to make themselves look good.

Amazon reported the days for Amazon Prime Day as the 15th & 16th for Prime Members which is over 75-million members. This sale starts up right after the June credit card statements are mailed out.

UPS per binding contract are paying retroactive pay to employees for 9-months of back pay. This is coming around July 5th. Thousands of employees have been holding on to their jobs waiting for that check to quit and go to school or to take full time positions at other schools.

Around July 20th, UPS will have tens of thousands of late shipments. These refunds will take an immediate impact on the bottom line going forward.

So I've worked at ups for a year now. I work in the world hub, the largest ups facility in the world. It's based in Louisville, Kentucky. I've had three jobs before this, even though those were bad, ups is by far the worst. They used to give us a bonus but then stopped that, and cut our hours so they would have to pay us as much. It is a part time job, but I'd come home with 170 at most. I am a college student and I work at ups for them to pay for my school. When I first started working there I was so bruised up. I've puked at that job three times from over working myself. Both the summer and winter is brutal. During the summer it would be so hot that I would over heat while working and get sick. They dont have ac, only fans. And most of the time we are stuck in our cans. I am a tall girl, and for 6 months I was stuck in a can that is 5'4". Because we are always stupid busy and understaffed I would be stuck in my cans for hours, bent over, sweating my ass off with no breaks while I got straight loaded to. Now my back is f%@ked up, and I definitely think it's related. I've lost a toe nail because of this job. No one cares about you here. My full time sup would literally scream at us to get the job done when we were already working our asses off. I never get breaks in this job. Ever. Its actually illegal, I'm not sure how they get away with it. I've had shutes (which is were the boxes come down for a can) and my flow would be up to 400. That means every ten minutes, I would be getting around 400 boxes. Its literally impossible. And most of the time you wont get help. Yall wonder why boxes are destroyed. Its because they put too much on one person. I've watched my supervisors throw boxes into cans. I've been told to do the same. When the can is ready to go and if it's not filled up 100% we are told to level it. Which is to throw everything on the ground. I've watched a coworker literally bend a box to get it to fit. Never work at ups, its literally hell. I dont know if its even worth getting college paid for.

One order, two packages, two mysteries. One package coming from MO ended up overshooting me by 900 miles. This is actually a sorta happy part of the story. Once I noticed that the package wasn’t on the usual path I (mistakenly) called support and actually talked with a human. A woefully unskilled and under-trained script reading human. She assured me that my package would be delivered on that day, even though it was already 400 miles past it’s destination. Suuure it will. An hour later I checked tracking again and it was now 800 miles away from me. Huh?

So I did what I should have done in the first place. I called the local UPS depot where a couple of folks know me on sight. I got a guy I don’t know and he went full kick-ass. He figured out that the ZIP code was very wrong. Not the fault of UPS so they are in the clear. He said he would get an intercept in action and would call me back. It wasn’t five minutes later that he did call me back. Dude is like a mercenary of package delivery. Nobody at the vendor knows how the ZIP was botched. I’ve ordered from there before many times with no issues. Maybe their office cat fell asleep on the keyboard. But I still have to ask why UPS doesn’t have a way to match up the city with the ZIP and send up a flag when it doesn’t match. OCR tech is quite mature at this point.

Second package is not such a huge mystery. It was coming from another warehouse in CA. Uh oh. That pretty much means that I should expect issues with that black hole known as Hodgkins, IL. And yes, it did go wrong. Typical excuse of a late trailer delivery blah blah blah and it was stuck in the backside of an aardvark. It finally made it to the next stop. Now I have to worry that it makes it to me intact. Nothing quite like receiving another optical instrument that has been shattered while being extricated from an aardvark’s anus or whatever. Been there before and the claim process is a joke!

I'd like to know if it was like that when the delivery guy put it on his truck. All but a minute amount of the tape was torn open, it had a two foot by four inch rip in the side and was bent into an "S" shape.
I stopped him before he left and told him the contents were destroyed and he said "How do you know that?". I told him I peeked into the giant rip and saw it.
This thing was so screwed up that it took world class balls to leave it on the step. Driver said "It doesn't look damaged to me." How could it not?
I refused it. Driver says it should have been packed better. No, it should have been treated better.

They deliver to the wrong address, claim they attempted delivery when they did nothing of the sort, claim severe weather when there isn't any. I finally got Amazon to send everything by Amazon courier after UPS incompetence cost Amazon hundreds of dollars in free goodies for me when UPS screwed up deliveries and Amazon wanted to calm down an outraged customer. I wouldn't trust UPS to pour pee out of a boot with instructions written on the heel.

Delivery notice and i have just went to see when it would next come but to my surprise ( jokes its UPS) they messed up and now my package is going back the the sender after i missed just one f%@king delivery. I AM f%@kING FUMINGGGGGG. probs wont even get them after i re order cuz ups is shite.! i use Royal mail normally and they provide a much better service even DHL could do better lol. Dont know how UPS is even a company still.

I remember growing up and UPS was not only a good company to work for, but UPS and Fedex were respected. Today's UPS i feel is comparable to cheap plastic shit from China, were you take the product out the packaging and it hits you immediately with a strong chemical smell that gives you a headache and makes you start thinking about brain damage just from inhaling the vapors coming off the plastic.

For the past several months I have had the displeasure of dealing with UPS. I have educated myself in the multiple attempts to try and get resolutions, but so far have been unsuccessful.

1. They keep putting my packages on the neighbors steps [I'd also like to mention I live in the city of Wilmington, and though I live in a nicer part, it's still a city, so, yeah if you don't catch the package in time it's getting stolen]. Now, there's three doors to our building. I'm apartment #3. The first and third doors are separate from apartments 3-6, and we have a foyer with our mailboxes. The door leading to the foyer area is always unlocked, has a giant window so one can see the mailbox area if standing on the steps [so there's no excuse to not put packages inside the foyer], and the door is labeled with the address and apartment numbers that correspond to that door. Pretty hard to mess that up, yet my packages are going missing and the past 3 have all been placed on the neighbors steps inside of mine, or heaven forbidden inside the freaking mail area. Couple weeks ago a package was left out in a thunder storm on the neighbor's steps, that's probably only reason it didn't get stolen. The last package I received several hours ago from my posting here, wasn't even on the neighbor's steps, it had somehow fallen off and was by the trash cans, lol! I mean, they had break pads in them, so no amount of wind was going to blow the box off the steps, that means the driver not only put the box on the wrong steps, again, but probably perched it on the corner of the steps or some half-assed manor, in order for it to fall off [maybe he thought he was playing the old NES game Paperboy?].

Now, I will accept that hey, the driver is one guy, right? One person can't speak for or represent an entire company, after all. We often think of the person we interact with or indirectly interact with as the 'face' of a company, but I'm a fair guy, I realize the driver isn't the entirety of UPS. But, when I go to complain about the driver, when I go to get my options changed so I can prevent more of this aggravation, the real fun begins [keep in mind this shit has been going on for months].

2. The phone call center. Oh joy! I wish it was an Indian call center, were the only thing I had to worry about was understanding a foreign dialect. I would be so happy if this was the issue, because for me, the issue is, I can't get a f%@king real person on the damn line! I know, we like to use automated systems these days, and everyone has them, but the voice recognition software for this garbage ass company is the pits. It can't understand anything that I say when entering the tracking number, and I often wonder, how would my grandmother mange with this or someone who speaks English as a second language and has an accent if the software can't understand MY English.

What to do, what to do? So, let's try the website then, right? LOL. Needless to say, I have yet to receive a response back.

3. If limited options were a prize, UPS.com would take first place hands down every time. Oh, and that virtual assistant, ask her if she's Human, she'll confess to being a bot, probably the only honest 'person' at UPS these days. The whole website is trash, with limited options, though I confess I only explored the part about filing a complaint. I had to submit my complaint under the General Category, because the website forces you into selecting specific paths for what your trying to do, and it's very narrow minding in my opinion. Then there's UPSmyChoice, which is a total joke. You think, I'll leave a message for the driver and tell him to place my package inside the foyer of the middle door, surely that is an option, right? I mean, it's UPSmyChoice, it's whole purpose is customization, surely they have 256 characters, or 50 word text box for you to communicate to the driver. Nope. Like 10 different options were you check off the one that applies to you and that's it, featuring such hits as, deliver to back door. The real kicker is some genus got paid to make this website.

Fire that f%@k of a Webmaster, Fire the f%@king idiot that designed the Call System [and allow calls that the voice recognition software can't understand be transferred to an operator. I rather wait on hold for 25 minutes than not get thru to anyone and hang up in frustration], and have an ability to contact the frigging truck master or whoever is in charge of your drivers so if they keep leaving packages by the frigging trash cans something can be done about it. At this point I am so hostile towards UPS that they ruined it for every private delivery service for me, going forward. I don't want to see UPS, FEDEX, DHS, or any of the private services with my packages; while USPS has their flaws, they are owned and regulated by the government, and you can always get a hold of a supervisor to pass the word on to stop leaving packages out on the neighbors steps in the middle of a f%@king thunder storm.

I ordered two items from Newegg (which only uses UPS). I live in San Diego and both items were coming from another city in California (somewhere near LA). Both items shipped at the same time, but one gets routed to San Diego, while the other gets routed to Chula Vista (still technically San Diego). I figured it was just a mistake and asked to pick up my package. UPS refused my request, so I had Newegg put in the request as well. They refused both requests to pick it up at the hub and instead returned the item.

In need of the item, I quickly order a similar item (from Newegg) to the item that was returned. They were two days late on the delivery and ONCE AGAIN routed my package to Chula Vista! I spoke with them again, and they claimed the zipcode was incorrect. I asked to speak with the local hub, but they refused, claiming the local hub didn't have a phone. However, they put in a request to have the local hub call me. The local hub calls from the phone they "don't have" and tell me once again that my zipcode is incorrect. They then go on to say that they no longer deliver to my zipcode. I had Newegg change the zipcode for the package, but UPS blatantly ignores the zipcode change and returns the package. I've never had an issue with my zipcode. USPS delivers to my zipcode just fine. FedEx delivers to my zipcode just fine. I've even seen UPS trucks right in front of the address. I know they deliver there, they just keep doing this to be spiteful.

So I was supposed to be getting a delivery on Friday 14/June, and after staying home and waiting till 10 PM, they sent me an email that basically states that my delivery has been pushed to Monday 17/June. I woke up this morning and a new email says that I should get the package on Tuesday 18/June by the end of the day, but I'm leaving for my flight at 6 PM. No one from customer service is available on weekends and I want them to at least move the package to one of their pickup stores on Monday so I can pick it up a day before. I call one of their stores to see if they can at least tell me what to do in an urgent case like this and he says: “Well just leave a governmental ID with a friend and let them pick it up when it arrives". Thanks a lot.

Another thing is that the tracking page say Ontario —> New Brunswick —> Nova Scotia (which is the correct route), but now it says Ontario —> New Brunswick —> Nova Scotia —> Ontario (Departure Scan)

They should really consider having Customer Service throughout the whole week. I'm so angry and I have them so much right now.

Critical package for my best friend’s wedding was supposed to arrive today Friday, 15 June wedding is tomorrow so I have been calling them since 7 AM this morning. giving them the detailed address to contact the dispatcher of where I dropped the box! Well come 8 pm this eve they finally picked it up and because it is second day Air saver it will not be delivered until Monday. So much for the wedding. Ha!
When I finally got a piddly little ass f”@&$ Supervisor on the phone (directly after the package had been picked A DAY LATE BY dispatcher no more than two minutes later). He said I was asking the impossible to have a delivered the next day Saturday??? Yeah bro ain’t got time to call the dispatcher? I’ve been trying to get those girls from Singapore/Philippine to call him all morning. No joke!

Started a new job and had critically important package sent overnight with 10:30am arrival guarantee. It now 11pm and 5 phone calls, 100 tracking page refreshes and a trip to the place they said it would finally be held for me and still don't have it. They want me to skip work and come back at 9:30 for a package that should have been delivered to my office yesterday! Totally incompetent workforce that is comfortable making up lies all day to get you off the phone. They said the driver would call me in an hour twice and no one did. Then they said drive to facility to pick it up and I got there and they had put it in a 'trailer' and I STILL couldn't get it. What kind of ridiculous service operation makes a customer go through this many hoops to get something they paid to have delivered? Had I known UPS was this bad, I would never have chosen them for something this critical. Had they been honest with me, I would have taken a flight and picked it up myself rather than trusting them to do their job. I used UPS almost weekly before this, but I will never use them for critical shipments again. They are very broken.

UPS packaged my air conditioner, shipped it and destroyed it and now they are refusing to pay for it. No, I didn't insure it as they had taken full responsibility for it. I guess you have to be ready for them to destroy anything you give them to the point that you need an insurance policy to protect against them demolishing your equipment. Hardly what I would call ethical behavior. I was taught to take responsibility for your actions. I guess that does't apply to corporate UPS.

I used to have an amazing UPS driver in my neighborhood and it was honestly a lot better then USPS in Bakersfield for the last two years. I ended up with a new driver and he was three hours later then my old driver. To the point that I ran to the UPS store and explained that something was wrong with my package. The lady at the counter made an endless variety of excuses. Also, my package was estimated to be the day before and she's like "well UPS ground dates can be changed whenever we feel like." I paid ten bleeping dollars for my package to be delivered, you should have a f%@king date on the package that is guaranteed. Her other excuse was that the package was in a warehouse and I would have to call customer support. Excuse me?! What do you people at UPS stores do all day? Sit on your fat ass getting paid to do jack shit?

The driver finally showed up at like 5PM. This annoyed me to hell, because my old driver was usually at my door step by 2PM on a slow day. On a fast day, it could be 1PM or even 12PM. And this son of a bitch wearing his jackass apple looking ear buds decides to drop my electronic vape pen I need to consume my medication (I smoke pot for anxiety and depression as well as pain.) on the dirt. Not in the GIANT BLEEPING MAILBOX. Not on the doorstep. Again, it's an electronic item and thank god the sprinklers weren't turned on.

My old driver would actually hand deliver the package if it was a large item and then he would helpfully ask me if I wanted it pushed into my house. Really friendly. If the package was smaller, it'd at least get dropped into a mail box.

I ended up catching this asshole's truck number and instantly reported him. I used the customer support hotline because quite frankly I was pissed off at the UPS store after the last horrible experience. At least their customer support team is actually a lot better to deal with. I'm hoping this stupid waste of human space gets fired.
